The limits are just as important. The licence belongs to the named user. Do not give away your own RFL, lend it, transfer it, on-sell it or buy for someone else for a fee, commission or reward.

NSW, Queensland and WA: use named-fisher details

For NSW, Queensland SIPS and WA, the safer public answer is not "yes, gift it". Use the actual fisher's details and make sure the proof follows them.

NSW is receipt-focused. Queensland SIPS proof can be email, SMS or paper. Western Australia is activity-specific, and WA guidance lets you fish while waiting for the card if you can produce the receipt. In each case, the person fishing should be able to show proof when asked.

Family and group trips
