What the fee covers
The NSW Recreational Fishing Fee applies across NSW fresh and salt water where the fee requirement applies. Official guidance includes line fishing, hand lining, spearfishing, hand gathering, trapping, bait collecting, prawn netting and being on or near NSW waters with fishing gear.
Carry your NSW Fishing Fee Receipt or digital receipt while fishing. If you are exempt, carry the required proof instead.
