Kangaroo Island licence answer
Ordinary Kangaroo Island coastal recreational fishing does not have a general South Australia fishing licence checkout. That is only the first answer. Kangaroo Island fishing still needs species limits, gear rules, closures, marine parks, sanctuary zones and health advice.

Marine park map check
Marine Parks SA lists the Kangaroo Island region across four official marine park pages: Encounter, Western Kangaroo Island, Southern Kangaroo Island and Southern Spencer Gulf. The practical step is to open the official maps, coordinates or fishing app before fishing the exact spot.
Sanctuary zones are no-take areas. Do not fish, collect, use fishing gear or take marine life in a sanctuary zone unless the current official page gives a specific allowance. Signs and map boundaries matter at beaches, reefs, jetties, bays and boat marks.
Marine park rules do not replace PIRSA fishing rules. Use both layers: first the marine park zone, then the species, closure and gear rule for the activity.
